Modern Slavery Policy

Effective Date: 5th December 2024
Review Date: 4th December 2025

1. Purpose and Commitment

Jam 7 Limited is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all parts of our business and supply chain. We recognise our responsibility as a UK-based B2B tech marketing agency to act ethically and with integrity in all our operations, and to implement effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place.

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. Jam 7 takes a zero-tolerance approach to such abuses.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of Jam 7 Limited, including Growth Agents (employees), contractors, consultants, third-party suppliers, and any other representatives.

3. Our Organisation

Jam 7 Limited is a UK-based growth marketing firm specialising in AI-powered, human-led services for ambitious B2B technology companies. Our operations span digital marketing, content development, automation, and strategic consultancy. Our supply chain includes software vendors, marketing and design contractors, and office support services.

We are proud to work with partners who share our values on ethical conduct, and we actively work to ensure our business operations remain compliant with UK legislation, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

4. Responsibility for the Policy

  • The Jam 7 Board of Directors has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with legal and ethical obligations.
  • The CEO and Chief Product Officer are responsible for implementing the policy, ensuring that all necessary procedures are in place, and that Growth Agents understand and comply with it.
  • Heads of Department are tasked with day-to-day oversight in their areas and ensuring third parties understand and uphold our policy.

5. Due Diligence Processes

As part of our commitment to identifying and mitigating risks, we:

  • Conduct risk assessments on our supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Vet new suppliers through onboarding processes that assess their ethical stance and employment practices.
  • Include clauses in supplier contracts to warrant compliance with modern slavery legislation.
  • Review our key suppliers annually to assess any new risks or breaches.

6. Training and Awareness

We provide training to relevant team members to ensure they:

  • Understand the risks of modern slavery.
  • Know how to identify signs of abuse or exploitation.
  • Are confident in reporting concerns through appropriate channels.

Training is part of our onboarding process for all new Growth Agents and is refreshed annually.

7. Reporting Concerns

We encourage all Growth Agents and partners to report concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chain. Concerns can be raised:

  • Confidentially to the Head of Operations
  • Anonymously via our internal Reporting Form (available on SharePoint)
  • Directly to the CEO where appropriate

All concerns are treated with utmost seriousness and investigated promptly.

8. Breach of the Policy

Any Growth Agent found to be in breach of this policy will face disciplinary action, which may include dismissal for gross misconduct. We may terminate our relationship with individuals and organisations working on our behalf if they are found to have engaged in modern slavery practices.

9. Continuous Improvement

Jam 7 is committed to continual improvement. We will:

  • Review this policy annually
  • Update our due diligence procedures as risks evolve
  • Monitor legislative changes and best practice guidance

10. Approval and Endorsement

This policy is endorsed by the Board and reflects our commitment to ethical business practices.
